Colour Markings

Colored markings on colored surfaces remain a desire. However, colored markings on black surfaces, especially in PA, PE and PP, allow new design freedoms. For this purpose, the colorants used determine the contrast ratio.

With the use of appropriate laser designs and 360° lettering, full-surface marking can give a plastic object a completely new look, such as a wood design.

With the supportive use of metallic gloss impressions, monochrome images receive new and particularly innovative attention.

Opacity or translucency

A fully transparent laser additive has been developed over several years of work. It offers full transparency retention in crystal-clear plastics and enables dark and surface-preserving depth marking with extremely good contrast.

In intensive development work, our German Laser Competence Centre has developed formulations based on special pigments whose optical properties can be changed from complete opacity to the desired degree of translucency by the influence of lasers. The possible applications of this effective technology are diverse and range, for example, from switches to be illuminated in the background to cosmetics packaging and elements in the decorative sector. In the opaque area, logos and fancy designs in particular can be impressively displayed with laser marking.

Not even a Dry Ice Cleaner can damage the lasered surface. The laser marking stands up.
